Sweet And Sour Sesame Chicken

Ingredients
  Chicken 3 Pound (1 1/2 Kilogram)
  Plum sauce 60 Milliliter (1/4 Cup)
  Vinegar 15 Milliliter (1 Tablespoon)
  Chicken stock 500 Milliliter (2 Cups)
  Dry sherry 85 Milliliter (1/3 Cup)
  Finely chopped ginger 15 Milliliter (1 Tablespoon, Use Fresh)
  Onion 1 , quartered
  Canned straw mushrooms 6 Ounce (180 Grams)
  Celery stalks 2 , sliced
  Canned water chestnuts 8 Ounce (225 Grams)
  Canned bamboo shoots 8 Ounce, drained and sliced (225 Grams)
  Cornstarch 45 Milliliter (3 Tablespoon, Blended With Water)
  Sesame seeds 15 Milliliter (1 Tablespoon)
Directions

1 Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Arrange chicken in an ovenproof dish. Combine plum sauce, vinegar, stock, sherry and ginger and pour over chicken. Cover and bake 40 minutes.
2 Add vegetables, return to oven and cook a further 15 minutes. Remove chicken and vegetables to a heated serving dish.
3 Thicken remaining liquid with blended cornstarch and water. Bring to a boil and simmer 2 minutes. Pour over chicken. Sprinkle with sesame seeds
