Best Roast Chicken With White Wine

Try this alluring Roast Chicken. An easily prepared non-vegetarian recipe, this Roast Chicken is a dish which you will always love to serve.
Ingredients
  Roasting chicken 5 Pound
  Bottled browning sauce 1 Teaspoon
  Shortening 1 Tablespoon
  Paprika 1 Teaspoon
  White wine/Sherry 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Truss chicken, place in shallow oblong baking pan.
Mix together remaining ingredients in a glass measuring cup; cover, heat in Radarange oven 1 minute.
Baste chicken with warm mixture.
Cook chicken in oven, breast side down, 8 minutes; turn on one wing, baste, cook 8 minutes more.
Roll chicken on the other wing, baste, cook in oven 8 minutes more.
Turn chicken breast side up, baste, cook 6 to 8 minutes more.
Let stand 10 to 15 minutes.
Test with thermometer in meaty part of breast.
Temperature should be between 180° and 185°.
