Maryland Fried Chicken
|Fryer chicken||3 Pound, cut up (1 Whole)|
|Egg||1 , slightly beaten|
|Milk||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Fine cracker crumbs||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Shortening||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Combine egg and 1/4 cup milk.
Dip chicken pieces in egg mixture and roll in seasoned crumbs.
Brown in shortening in heavy skillet.
Add 1 cup milk, cover and simmer 35 minutes.
Uncover and cook until tender, about 10 minutes.
