Broiled Chicken Oregano
|Chicken||3 Pound, cut into serving pieces (Broiler Or Fryer)|
|Lemons||1 1⁄2 , juiced|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), cut|
|Butter||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), melted|
Several hours before serving, or the day before, rub chicken pieces with garlic and place in a deep china or earthenware bowl.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper, oregano, and lemon juice.
Cover bowl and refrigerate.
When ready to cook, arrange chicken pieces on broiler rack and baste with melted butter.
Add remaining marinade to butter and broil 3 to 4 inches from heat for 15 to 20 minutes on each side, basting often.
