|Broiler fryer chicken||6 Pound, quarters (2 whole)|
|Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sour cream||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
Rinse and dry chicken then sprinkle generously with salt, pepper.
Let rest while preheating oven to slow 250°F.
Place casserole containing margarine in oven to melt it.
Roll chicken in soft margarine.
Bake 1 1/2 hours, basting a couple of times.
Test for doneness.
Shortly before serving, pour off some of the gravy and mix with sour cream and return to casserole just to heat through.
