Lemon-Barbecued Chicken

  Broiler fryer 3 Pound, split
  Vegetable oil 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Lemon juice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 1 Tablespoon
  Onion powder 2 Teaspoon
  Dried basil 2 Teaspoon
  Paprika 1 Teaspoon
  Dried thyme 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), crushed
  Lemon 1 , sliced

Place chicken in 2 large shallow containers.
Combine remaining ingredients, stirring well; pour over chicken.
Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours, turning chicken occasionally.
Remove chicken from marinade, reserving marinade.
Grill chicken, skin side up, over low coals 20 to 25 minutes.
Baste frequently with marinade.
Turn chicken, and grill an additional 20 minutes or until done.
