Picnic Barbecued Chicken
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), crushed|
|Butter/Margarine||2 Teaspoon, melted|
|Catsup||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chili sauce||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Celery seeds||1 Tablespoon|
|Prepared mustard||1 Tablespoon|
|Worcestershire sauce||2 Tablespoon|
|Hot sauce||2 Dash|
|Broiler fryer||3 Pound, quartered|
Saute garlic in melted butter in a small saucepan until tender.
Stir in remaining ingredients except chicken; bring to a boil.
Remove barbecue sauce from heat, and set aside.
Grill chicken, skin side up, over medium coals 15 minutes.
Baste with reserved barbecue sauce.
Grill an additional 40 minutes or until done.
Baste every 10 minutes with remaining sauce.
