Batter Baked Chicken
|Washington fryer||1 , cut up|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Tablespoon|
|Pecans||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped|
|Sesame seeds||2 Tablespoon|
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Rinse and pat dry chicken pieces.
Beat egg lightly, add milk and combine well.
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, paprika, pepper, pecans, and sesame seeds.
Dip chicken into milk mixture then into flour mixture.
Melt butter in a shallow baking pan in a hot oven (400Â° F).
Re move baking pan from oven.
As pieces of floured chicken are placed in pan, turn to coat with butter, then bake skin side down.
Bake at 400Â° F. for 30 minutes.
Turn chicken, bake another 30 minutes or until tender at 350Â° F.
