Brandied Cherry Ring
|Canned pitted dark sweet cherries||16 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Brandy||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Cherry gelatin||6 Ounce (2 Packages Of 3 Ounce Each Or 1 Package Of 6 Ounce, Jello)|
|Boiling water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Prepared whipped topping||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Dream Whip)|
Drain cherries, measuring syrup.
Add water to syrup to make 1 1/3 cups.
Cut cherries in half.
Heat brandy and pour over cherries; let stand about 30 minutes.
Drain, adding brandy to measured liquid.
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
Add measured liquid.
Chill until thickened.
Add cherries to half the gelatin and pour into a 6-cup ring mold.
Chill until set but not firm.
Blend whipped topping into remaining gelatin.
Spoon into mold.
Chill until firm about 4 hours.
