Cherry Roly Poly
|Prepared biscuit mix||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Light cream||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Melted butter||2 Tablespoon|
|Canned pitted red sour cherries||1 Cup (16 tbs), drained|
|Diced candied lemon peel||2 Tablespoon|
|Cherry sauce||4 Tablespoon|
Blend together biscuit mix and butter; add cream and stir well.
Turn out on a lightly floured board; knead for 30 seconds.
Roll out into a rectangle 1/4 inch thick.
Brush with melted butter.
Top with cherries and lemon peel.
Roll up as for jelly roll.
Place on buttered baking sheet; brush with melted butter.
Bake in preheated hot oven (425 °F.) for 20 minutes.
Slice and serve hot with Cherry Sauce,
