Cherry Nut Fans
|Cherry preserves||2 Tablespoon|
|Finely chopped pecans||2 Tablespoon|
|Butter||1 Tablespoon, softened|
|Basic danish dough||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (1/4 Recipe, Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
|Vanilla icing||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (1/4 Recipe, Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
Cut up large pieces of cherry preserves.
Combine preserves, pecans, and butter.
Roll dough on lightly floured surface to 10x8-inch rectangle.
Cut in eight 4 x 2 1/2 inch rectangles.
Spoon 1 1/2 tea spoons filling along center of each.
Moisten and press edges with fingers to seal.
Place, seam side down, on ungreased baking sheet; curve slightly.
Snip outer edge at 1-inch intervals.
Press down lightly with fingers.
Cover and let shaped dough rise in a warm place till almost double (25 to 30 minutes).
Bake in 425°F oven for 9 to 10 minutes.
Cool pastries on wire rack; frost with Vanilla Icing.
