Pickled Cherries

Ingredients
  Fresh cherries 5 Pound, stems removed
  Sugar 1 Pound
  Red wine vinegar 2 Quart (Use Good Quality)
  Cinnamon sticks 4
Directions

Pack cherries in sterilized jars.
Combine sugar, vinegar and cinnamon in 3-quart saucepan and bring to boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently.
Cook 5 minutes.
Place cinnamon stick in each jar, pour syrup over and seal.
May be stored in large plastic container or jar in refrigerator for 1 year.
