Pickled Sweet Cherries

Ingredients
  Dark cherries 4 Pound, pitted (sweet)
  Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Vinegar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Ground cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Preparation: In kettle combine all ingredients and 1 cup water.
Bring to boil; simmer 5 minutes.
Canning: Return cherry mixture to boiling.
Spoon into hot, clean jars, leaving 1/2 inch headspace.
Wipe rims; adjust lids.
Process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes (start timing when water boils).
