Cherry Almond Macaroons
|Slivered blanched almonds||5 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Chopped maraschino cherries||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Red food coloring||3 Drop (Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
Grind dry, crisp almonds through finest blade of food grinder or chop as fine as possible in food blender.
Do not chop nuts by hand.
Mix nuts, sugar, and egg whites in saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, 8 to 10 min., or until a path sta
