Sour Cream Cheesecake

Sour cream cheesecake is a cake made with cheese, sour cream and many more ingredients. The most common cheese that is used in this sweet dish is the Quark cheese, which is a famous cheese of Germany and very popular around the world especially in America. However, many sour cream cheesecake recipes suggest using a good brand cheese as this milk product is not easily available everywhere. There are two ways of making sour cream cheesecake – first the crust and then the cheesecake. For the crust making, cracker crumbs, sugar and unsalted butter is required. On the other hand, creamy cheese, sugar, vanilla essence, lemon zest, eggs and sour cream are needed for the cake mixture. The cheesecake batter should be layered over the baked crust. The sour cream cake should be baked for about an hour till the cake comes to a semi-solid state, but not overcooked. A piece of this sour cream cheesecake can be served as a dessert after a meal.
