Cherry Topping For Cheese Cake
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sour red cherries||1 Pound, drained (1 Can)|
|Lemon juice||1 Teaspoon|
|Red food coloring||2 Drop|
Mix sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan, gradually blend in cherry liquid, and heat, stirring, until boiling.
Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Off heat, mix in lemon juice, cherries, and food coloring.
Cool 5 minutes, spread on top of cooled cheese cake, and chill several hours.
