Bacon 'N' Cheese Burgers

Ingredients
  Chopped onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Cooking oil 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Dash
  Ground pork/Ground beef 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Cheese spread with bacon 5 Ounce, softened
  Sweet pickle relish 2 Tablespoon
  Prepared mustard 1 Teaspoon
  Hamburger buns 6 , split
Directions

Cook onion in hot oil till tender but not brown.
Combine cooked onion, salt, and pepper.
Add ground beef or ground pork; mix well.
Shape into six 1/2-inch-thick patties.
Place on rack of unheated broiler pan.
Broil 3 inches from heat, turning once.
For beef, broil till desired doneness (allow about 10 minutes total time for medium).
For pork, broil for 12 to 15 minutes or till well-done.
Combine cheese spread, pickle relish, and mustard.
Spread about 1 tablespoon mixture on each bun half.
Broil buns about 1 minute or till bun is toasted and cheese is bubbly.
Serve patties in buns.
