Open Faced Cheeseburgers
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Chopped onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Tomato sauce||8 Ounce|
|Sliced mushrooms/Chopped mushrooms||1 Can (10 oz) (Small Can)|
|Grated cheese||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Brown the ground beef with the chopped onion in shortening.
Season with salt and pepper.
Stir in tomato sauce and mushrooms.
Simmer about 10 minutes, remove from heat and add the grated cheese, stirring well to blend.
Toast buns over coals; spoon on mixture.
