Once In A Blue Moon Cheeseburger
|Extra lean ground beef||1 Pound|
|Whole wheat bread slice||2 , finely crumbled|
|Finely chopped green onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Green And White Parts)|
|Freshly ground black pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Blue cheese||2 Ounce, crumbled|
|Nonstick olive oil cooking spray||1|
|Hamburger buns||6 , warmed / toasted|
|Butter lettuce leaves/Boston lettuce leaves||4|
1. In medium bowl combine ground beef, bread crumbs, green onion, pepper, and salt. Shape into 12 equal patties. Lay patties out in pairs on wax paper. Divide cheese equally among 6 of the patties, covering surface Press remaining patties on top and seal edges with fingers. No cheese should be peeking through.
2. Coat large skillet with cooking spray. Heat over medium-high heat. Add burgers. Cook 3 to 4 minutes on one side. Turn over. Cook 3 minutes longer or until cooked through.
3. Serve on buns with lettuce leaves and tomato slices.
