Cheeseburgers

Ingredients
For burger mixture
  Breadcrumbs 1 1⁄2 Ounce
  Minced onion 1 Tablespoon, or grated
  Minced beef 8 Ounce
  Egg 1 Small (For Binding)
For cheese rarebit mixture
  Butter/Margarine 1 Ounce
  Made mustard 1 Teaspoon (Leveled)
  Cheddar cheese 6 Ounce, grated
  Milk 2 Tablespoon
  Hamburger buns/Soft rolls 4
  Salt 1 Pinch
  Pepper 1 Pinch
  Cayenne pepper 1 Pinch
Directions

Mix 'burger' ingredients together, divide into equal portions-and shape into round flat cakes slightly larger than the buns.
Prepare the rarebit mixture.
Cream the butter or margarine with the seasonings; add grated cheese and milk and mix well.
Grill or fry the hamburgers for 2-3 minutes on each side.
Spread a generous helping of the rarebit mixture over both sides of each; split hamburger bun and grill to a golden brown.
Put a cooked hamburger on bottom of the grilled bun and close.
Serve hot with mustard or ketchup and pickled onions.
