Family-Style Swiss Cheese Fondue
|Garlic salt||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|White pepper||1 Dash|
|Milk||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs) (Scalded, If In A Hurry)|
|Process swiss cheese||1 Pound, shredded|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Teaspoon|
|Tabasco sauce||1 Dash|
|Dry white wine/Milk if preferred||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Kirsch/Milk if preferred||2 Tablespoon|
|French bread||1 , cut in 1 inch cubes|
Melt butter or margarine in ceramic fondue pot over a moderate direct heat.
Stir in next 5 ingredients.
Stir in milk; cook, stirring constantly until sauce is smooth and thickened slightly.
Add cheese, a small amount at a time and stir until cheese is melted after each addition.
Stir in remaining ingredients except bread.
To serve let each guest spear a crust-edged cube of bread with fondue fork and twirl bread in cheese mixture until coated.
Drain, cool, and eat.
