Shrimp Giyani With Feta Cheese
|Onion||1 Medium, minced|
|Olive oil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Canned tomatoes||28 Ounce, undrained|
|White wine||4 Ounce|
|Parsley bunch||1 Small, finely chopped|
|Celery stalk||1 , finely chopped|
|Large shrimp||1 Pound, cleaned and deveined|
|Feta cheese||1⁄4 Pound, crumbled|
Brown onion in oil.
Add tomatoes, stirring until mixture reaches boiling.
Lower heat and simmer, covered, 5 minutes.
Add wine, parsley, celery, and salt and pepper to taste.
Simmer 30 minutes.
While tomato sauce is simmering, parboil shrimp 2 minutes in 3 quarts boiling water with 2 teaspoons salt.
Add shrimp to sauce.
Simmer 1 minute.
Garnish with feta.
