Cheese Blitzes

Ingredients
  Sliced white bread 1 , crusts trimmed (1 Loaf)
  Cream cheese 8 Ounce, softened
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Egg yolk 1
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Melted butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Roll each bread slice flat with a rolling pin.
Combine the cream cheese, 1/4 cup of the sugar and egg yolk in a small bowl and mix until smooth.
Spread the cream cheese mixture over the flattened bread slices and roll tightly as for a jelly roll.
Mix the remaining 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
Dip each rolled blitz in melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar to coat.
Arrange on a cookie sheet and freeze, covered, for 2 to 10 hours.
Thaw 1/2 hour before baking and cut each blitz in half.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
