|Swiss cheese||1 Pound, cut into 1 inch cubes|
|Fat||2 Cup (32 tbs) (For deep Frying)|
Take 2 tablespoons from bread crumbs and beat with eggs.
Put rest of crumbs in a pie plate.
Dip cheese cubes into egg mixture, then into dry crumbs.
Coat all over.
Heat shortening in medium skillet and drop breaded cheese into it, a few cubes at a time.
Cook for 1 minute, until golden, then lift out.
Drain on paper towels.
Keep cubes warm until all are cooked, then pass the platter.
To make these successfully, be sure cheese cubes are well battered in egg and crumbs, and work fast in the fryer.
