Toasted Pecan Cheese Log

Ingredients
  Chopped pecans 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Diced green pepper 2 Tablespoon
  Diced onion 2 Tablespoon
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cream cheese 8 Ounce
  Cheddar cheese 8 Ounce, shredded (2 Cups)
  Italian salad dressing mix 3⁄5 Ounce
  Diced pimiento 1 Tablespoon, drained
  Worcestershire sauce 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Red pepper 1 Dash
Directions

Spread pecans in a single layer in a 9-inch square baking dish.
Microwave at HIGH, uncovered, 5 to 6 minutes or until toasted.
Set aside.
Combine green pepper, onion, and butter in a microwave-safe bowl, cover with heavy-duty plastic wrap.
Microwave at HIGH 45 seconds or until vegetables are crisp-tender, stirring once.
Drain, and set aside.
Place cream cheese in a microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave at MEDIUM LOW (30% power) 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until cream cheese is softened.
Combine cream cheese, cooked vegetables, and remaining ingredients, mix well.
Shape mixture into an 11- x 2-inch log, roll in toasted pecans.
Cover and chill.
Serve with assorted crackers.
