Cottage Cheese Beef Bake
|Medium noodles||3 1⁄2 Ounce|
|Ground beef/Ground pork||1 Pound|
|Chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped green pepper||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Tomato sauce||15 Ounce|
|Dried savory/Dried marjoram||1⁄2 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Cream-style cottage cheese||12 Ounce (1.5 Cups)|
|Cream cheese||3 Ounce, softened|
|Grated parmesan cheese||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
In large saucepan cook noodles in a large amount of boiling salted water for 10 to 12 minutes or just till tender; drain.
In skillet cook ground beef or ground pork, onion, and green pepper till meat is browned and vegetables are tender; drain off fat.
Stir in tomato sauce, salt, savory or marjoram, pepper, and the cooked noodles till fluffy.
Place half of the mixture in a 10x6x2-inch baking dish.
In small mixer bowl combine cottage cheese, cream cheese, and egg; beat till fluffy.
Spread over meat mixture in baking dish.
Top with the remaining meat mixture.
Sprinkle with parmesan.
Bake, uncovered, in 350Â° oven about 40 minutes or till heated through.
