Triple Cheese Appetizer Wheel

  All purpose flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Shredded swiss cheese 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Shortening 1 Tablespoon
  Water 2 Tablespoon
  Cheese filling   (as required)

Heat oven to 475°.
Stir together flour, cheese and salt.
Cut in shortening thoroughly.
Sprinkle water over mixture, 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing with fork until flour is moistened.
Gather dough into a ball; divide in half.
Roll one half into 9-inch circle.
Place on baking sheet turn under 1/2 inch all around.
Crimp edge and prick pastry with fork.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Roll other half into 7-inch circle; place on baking sheet.
Score into 16 sections, cutting only part way through pastry.
Cut around rim of each section to form scalloped edge.
Cut 2-inch hole in middle of circle.
Bake about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Just before serving, spread Cheese Filling evenly to edge of 9-inch circle; place scalloped circle on top.
If desired, small candles can be inserted in Cheese Filling around scalloped circle.
Garnish with parsley and olives if desired.
To serve, cut into wedges.
