Grate the cheese and put to one side.
Put the flour, baking powder and salt into the processor bowl.
Cut the margarine into small pieces and add to the bowl.
Process until the mixture is like coarse bread crumbs .
With the machine running, pour the milk gradually through the feeder tube and mix to a soft dough.
Add the herbs and cheese and mix until just blended.
Form the dough into two round cakes and place on a greased baking sheet.
Flatten slightly and mark each circle deeply in a cross with a knife.
Bakeat450Â°Ffor 15 minutes.
Cut each circle into four wedges.
Split each one through, spread with butter and serve hot.
Note This cheese bread makes a good accompaniment to a salad meal.
