|Cheddar cheese||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), grated|
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Sift flour, salt and cayenne; then rub in the butter finely.
Mix into a firm dough with cold water.
Roll out on a floured board to the thin- ness of paper — this is important.
Cut into fingers or rounds and bake at 425" F until they are puffed up and lightly browned.
Use plain, or with any savoury filling for snacks.
