Brown Cheese Straws
|Grated cheese||150 Gram|
|Breadcrumbs||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (fine quality)|
|Flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Salt||To Taste (good pinch)|
Mix all the dry ingredients together.
Knead in the butter till all is combined into a smooth dough.
Add no liquid.
Fold into a paper about 12" long and equal in width to the length required for the cheese straws.
Add no flour.
Fold up neatly and roll until the strip is of a uniform thickness.
Unfold very carefully and cut into neat fingers.
Bake in a moderate oven until pale brown.
