Ham And Cheese Fondue
|Cubed cooked ham||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Shredded cheddar cheese||1⁄4 Pound|
|Milk||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Cayenne pepper||1 Dash|
|Eggs||2 , beaten slightly|
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Take a shallow baking dish or 2-quart casserole, grease with butter and arrange the bread, after removing the crusts, as a layer. Top with cheese and half the ham.
3. Arrange the rest of the bread slices on the top and then the cheese and rest of the ham.
4. Prepare a mixture of egg, pepper and milk and pour on the ham-bread mixture.
5. Sprinkle butter as dots and bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
6. Serve hot.
