Classic Cream Cheese Refrigerator Torte
|Mixture||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cream cheese||8 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Lemon gelatin||1 Teaspoon|
|Hot water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Pineapple juice||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Pineapple||2 Can (20 oz), crushed|
|Evaporated milk||1 Can (10 oz) (Chill Overnight)|
Mix hot water with gelatin, add pineapple juice, let cool until it begins to congeal.
Mix cream cheese with the sugar.
Whip chilled milk in large cold bowl until it is stiff.
Add cheese mixture and whipped milk to gelatin and fold in gently, add vanilla and pineapple.
Pour mixture into graham cracker crust and chill for 8 hours in refrigerator.
When serving top with prepared cherry or pineapple pie filling.
