Cream Cheese Pastry
|Cream cheese||8 Ounce (1 Package, At Room Temperature)|
|Butter||1 Cup (16 tbs) (At Room Temperature)|
|Unbleached flour||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy. Stir in flour. Divide dough in half. Gather in your hands and gently shape each into a flat ball.
Cover with plastic wrap and chill for 3 to 4 hours or overnight.
Before rolling, let dough stand at room temperature until slightly softened (up to 1/2 hour if refrigerated overnight).
