White Wine Cheese Fondue

Ingredients
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), finely chopped
  Dry white wine 1⁄3 Pint (3/4 Cup, 200 Milliliter)
  Gruyere cheese 8 Ounce, finely grated (2 Cups, 225 Gram)
  Cornstarch 2 Tablespoon (Cornflour)
  Brandy 30 Milliliter (2 Tablespoon)
  Freshly ground black pepper To Taste
  Nutmeg 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Put garlic and wine in a bowl and cook for 2 minutes.
Add cheese. Cook for 4 minutes, stirring 3 times, until cheese has melted.
Mix together cornflour (cornstarch), brandy, pepper and nutmeg. Stir into cheese. Cook for 4 minutes.
Serve with French bread cut into bite-sized pieces and accompany with a crisp salad. Provide each guest with a fondue fork or kebab stick for spearing the bread.
