Company Macaroni Sausage & Cheese

  Elbow macaroni 7 Ounce (1 Package)
  Butter/Margarine 4 Tablespoon, divided
  Cornstarch 1 1⁄2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Prepared mustard 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Milk 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Grated cheese 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (Cheddar Or American)
  Sausages 8 Ounce, cut into 1/2 inch pieces (Brown And Serve, 1 Package)
  Chopped green onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Tops Included)
  Dry bread 3 Tablespoon
  Parsley flakes 1⁄2 Teaspoon

Cook macaroni conventionally for minimum time while microwaving sauce.
Melt 3 tablespoons butter in 2-qt casserole at High 30 to 45 seconds.
Stir in cornstarch.
Add salt, mustard and pepper.
Blend in milk.
Microwave at High 6 to 7 minutes, or until thickened, stirring after the first 2 minutes, then every minute.
Stir in cheese until melted; microwave 15 seconds if needed.
Mix in macaroni, sausage and onion.
Set aside.
Place remaining butter in small dish.
Microwave at High 15 to 30 seconds, or until melted.
Stir in bread crumbs and parsley flakes.
Set aside.
Microwave macaroni mixture at High 3 minutes.
Sprinkle bread crumb mixture over top.
Microwave 2 to 3 minutes longer, or until thoroughly heated.
