|Milk/Evaporated milk / light cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Dry bread crumbs||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cheddar cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs), grated|
|Dry mustard||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Worcestershire sauce||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
1. Cook the milk, bread crumbs and cheese together in the upper part of a double boiler until the cheese is melted.
2. Add the seasonings and Worcestershire sauce; stir in the egg and cook about 1 minute, stirring constantly.
3. Pour over the toast or crackers.
