Nippy Cheese Luncheon Dish

  Buttered bread slice 8 , crusts removed
  Shredded nippy cheese 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Eggs 3 , beaten
  Milk 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Dash
  Dry mustard/Worcestershire sauce 1 Dash
  Minced onion 1 Teaspoon

Arrange bread slices in a buttered 9 x 6-inch bake dish cutting the slices to fit.
Sprinkle with cheese, then cover with remaining bread.
Combine remaining ingredients and pour over the top.
Press down here and there with a spoon.
Let stand 20 minutes.
Bake at 350F for about 35 to 40 minutes, or until pudding is nicely puffed and delicately browned.
