Ingredients
  Button mushrooms 1 Pound
  Butter 4 Ounce (1/2 Cup)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm)
  Grated gruyere cheese 1 Pound (4 Cups)
  Dry white wine 1⁄4 Pint (1/2 Cup)
  Cornflour 1 Teaspoon (Cornstarch)
  Kirsch 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Directions

At the table rub the fondue pot with the cut clove of garlic.
Put in the wine, heat a little, then add the cheese and stir over gentle heat until the fondue thickens.
Add the corn flour mixed smoothly with the Kirsch and the remaining butter.
