|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Whipping cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Granola/Chopped nuts / cookie coconut||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Optional)|
Melt 1/4 cup sugar in small saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar turns golden brown; remove from heat.
Add cream (mixture will steam and sugar will harden).
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth.
Mix cornstarch and 1/4 cup sugar; stir into cream mixture.
Boil and stir until thickened, about 1 minute.
Pour into fondue pot or chafing dish; keep warm over very low heat.
Guests select choice of Dippers and place on dessert plates; then, with fondue forks or bamboo skewers, they dip each one into caramel sauce and roll each in granola.
