Philly Cream Cheese Gems
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened|
|Cream cheese||4 Ounce, softened|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Vanilla peel||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Lemon peel||1⁄2 Teaspoon, grated|
|All purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Beat butter, cream cheese, and sugar until creamy; beat in vanilla and lemon peel.
Gradually add flour, blending thoroughly.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing cookies about 2 inches apart.
Bake in a 350° oven for about 12 minutes or until edges are golden.
Transfer to racks and let cool.
