|Mozzarella cheese||8 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Italian style bread crumbs||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs) (Progresso)|
|Olive oil||1 Tablespoon (Progresso)|
Cut the mozzarella cheese into 2 1/2-x 3/4-x 1/2-inch sticks.
Dredge each piece of cheese in flour, dip in egg, then coat with bread crumbs.
Place on a plate in a single layer.
Refrigerate, uncovered, for 1 hour.
In a large saucepan heat olive oil, 1/2 inch deep, to 350° F.
Fry mozzarella sticks, a few pieces at a time, until browned on all sides, about 3 minutes.
Add more oil as needed.
Do not crowd.
Remove with tongs.
Drain on paper towels.
