Hot Cheese Snacks
|Shredded low calorie process cheese product||4 Ounce (1 Cup)|
|Hot water||2 Tablespoon|
|Minced dried onion||1 Teaspoon|
|Bottled hot pepper sauce||3 Drop (Adjust Quantity As Per Taste)|
|Finely chopped canned green chili peppers||2 Tablespoon|
|Egg whites||2 , stiffly beaten|
|Melba toast rounds||48|
Have cheese product at room temperature.
In small mixer bowl combine low-calorie cheese, water, onion, salt, and hot pepper sauce.
Beat with electric mixer till smooth.
Stir in chopped chili peppers.
Stir about one-fourth of the stiff-beaten egg whites into cheese mixture; gently fold in remaining egg whites.
Spoon about 1 teaspoon of the cheese mixture on each melba toast round and place on baking sheet.
Broil 5 inches from heat for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or just till the cheese topping is lightly browned.
