Western Sun Salad
|Blue cheese||1⁄4 Pound, crumbled|
|Salad oil||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Grated lemon peel||1 Teaspoon|
|Lemon juice||3 Tablespoon|
|Sour cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Seasoned salt||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Navel oranges||6 , peeled and cut into bite-size pieces|
|Assorted salad greens||1 1⁄2 Quart, chilled|
Combine blue cheese, oil.
lemon peel, and juice in a small deep bowl.
Beat with an electric mixer until smooth.
Add sour cream and salt and mix well.
Cover and chill at least 1 hour to blend flavors and mellow.
Place orange sections and salad greens in a large bowl.
Add dressing and toss lightly just before serving.
