Baked Cheese Bites

Ingredients
  Mozzarella/Swiss, jarlsberg, fontina, or similar firm cheese 1⁄2 Pound
  Dry bread crumbs 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Oregano 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Eggs 2 , beaten
Directions

Cut cheese into thirty-two 1/2- to 3/4-inch cubes.
Combine bread crumbs, oregano, and salt.
Dip cubes in eggs, then in crumb mixture, coating each cube twice.
Place on lightly greased baking sheet.
Let stand a few minutes to dry before cooking.
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Bake 8 minutes, or until lightly browned and cheese is soft.
Let stand on baking sheet about 1 minute before serving.
