Cheese Coated Halibut Sticks
|Halibut fillets||2 Pound (1 Inch Thick)|
|Salad oil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), mashed/minced|
|Grated american cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Use Any Commercial Brand)|
|Dry bread crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Cut the halibut into pieces approximately 1 inch wide by 2 inches long.
Combine the oil, salt, and garlic.
Marinate the halibut steaks in the oil for 1 to 2 minutes, then drain.
Roll in the grated cheese and then in the dry crumbs.
Place on an oiled baking sheet so that pieces do not touch.
Bake in a very hot oven (450°) for 12 minutes.
