Cheese Au Gratin Topping
|Cooked vegetables||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Drained mushrooms||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), sliced (Fresh Or Canned)|
|Hard cheese||2 Ounce, grated|
|Bread slice||1 , made into crumbs|
|Mixed dried herbs/1 tablespoon any fresh minced herbs (e.g., parsley, chives, basil, etc.)||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Tomato juice/Other liquid||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
In small aluminum foil pan or casserole, layer vegetables, mushrooms, cheese (reserve 2 tablespoons) and herbs; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Stir in tomato juice or other liquid.
Mix reserved cheese with the crumbs and spread on top of vegetables.
Bake at 350Â° F. till hot and bubbly.
