|Cooked hominy/Cooked oatmeal / other cereal||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Shortening||1 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Corn meal||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon (Royal)|
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Mix cereal with melted shortening, salt, milk and beaten eggs. Sift cornmeal, flour and baking powder together, add to cereal mixture and mix well.
3. Transfer to greased shallow pan or muffin tins, bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
4. Serve warm.
