Hot Cereal

Ingredients
  Cereal 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Water 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Pour cereal into top of a double boiler.
Stir in the water and salt.
Cover tightly.
Place top of double boiler over simmering water.
Cook for 7 to 10 minutes, if using quick-cooking granular cereal.
Cook for 25 to 30 minutes, if using regular or long-cooking granular cereal.
