Basic Bulgur Wheat
|Whole wheat||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
1. Combine wheat and water in a heavy saucepan. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 1 hour.
2. Combine wheat and water in a small pot. Set pot on a rack in a large pot which has water in it. The water should come almost to the level of the rack. Cover the larger pot and put on high heat for 15 minutes. Reduce heat and steam until wheat absorbs water, about 45 minutes longer.
