Caviar A La Crème
|Unflavored gelatin||1 Tablespoon|
|Cold water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cottage cheese||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Cream cheese||16 Ounce, softened (2 Packages)|
|Dairy sour cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Powdered sugar||2 Tablespoon, sifted|
|Red caviar||2 Ounce, chilled (1 Jar)|
|Crackers/Party bread||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
In heatproof measuring cup combine gelatin and water.
Place cup in a saucepan of hot water; heat and stir till gelatin dissolves.
Press cottage cheese through sieve.
In mixing bowl beat together sieved cottage cheese, cream cheese, and sour cream till smooth; beat in powdered sugar and vanilla.
Gradually blend about 1 cup of the cheese mixture into gelatin.
Return to remaining cheese mixture.
Stir till combined.
Turn into a 5-cup mold.
Chill till firm.
Unmold on platter; top with caviar.
